SPORTING ACTIVITIES
Lovells has a number of different sporting clubs including Badminton, British Aussie Rules Football, Cricket, Darts, Football, Hockey, Netball, Running and Softball.

The Lovellies – Lovells Ladies five-a-side football team.
The Lovellies are Lovells’ five-a-side ladies football team, who play weekly in the Topcorner Champions League. Their reputation precedes them; eight times winners of the Legal League, they are also current Topcorner Champions League title holders, having won this accolade three times. The emphasis is still on having fun and enjoying good football - the team includes members from across the firm and is a great way of meeting people.
This season the Lovellies have been typically busy, and not just on the football pitch. For the second year running the Lovellies were the only female team to participate in the Lovells’ World Cup in Amsterdam beating the men’s teams from France, Russia and the Czech Republic. They hope to do similarly well in the next tournament to be held in Rome in October.
In September the Lovellies starred in Patti Boulaye’s charity extravaganza “Football Reaching Out for Africa” - the Lovellies and WAGS such as Angie Best sang and danced in front of a nine thousand-strong audience at the Royal Albert Hall and joined forces with Chelsea’s Didier Drogba to raise funds to provide practical medical help for HIV victims in Africa.
The Lovellies also continue to be involved in a number of pro bono activities with Lovells, including the Street League initiative. Street League is a charity which uses the power of sport, in particular football, to encourage people at risk of exclusion (many of whom are homeless) back into work.
