Trainee Profiles
The differentiating factor for me was the people of Lovells. Partners took time out to talk about the firm.
The high level of training continues post-qualification which helps keep Lovells' solicitors at the cutting edge.
As the firm is still expanding, you have the opportunity to add something, to help it grow and for your efforts to be noticed and appreciated.
I'll be moving on to Tax, Real Estate and then finally City Litigation. I'm also planning to apply for the international secondment to Hong Kong.
If I had to give one piece of advice to applicants I would thoroughly recommend attending Open Days.
I have been treated like a valuable member of the team — not 'just' a trainee — and the level of guidance and feedback I have been given has been invaluable.
Lovells stood out... as being interested in me as an individual and my experience and potential, rather than in just 'another trainee'.
The efforts that Lovells has made to accomodate me and treat me as an individual... has been outstanding.
The partner at Lovells not only took time to discuss a plan for me, but he did so in a manner which appeared concerned with my interests, not those of the firm.
Another selling point for me was Lovells' influence in China... I would love to do an International secondment in Hong Kong... Beijing or Shanghai.
