STEPS
This timeline represents the path from joining Lovells as a trainee to qualification as a lawyer.
- Aug or Feb
- Start Training Contract
- 6 Months
- Seat 1 – Discussion about subsequent seats takes place 3 months into your first seat.
- 6 Months
- Seat 2 – Application for possible client secondments and placements abroad are made during this seat.
- 12 Months
- Seat 3 – During which a secondment to a client or a placement abroad takes place.
- 18 Months
- Seat 4 – A client secondment could also be completed in this seat if one has not been previously undertaken.
- Qualification process starts.
- 2 years later
- Training completed — qualify.
- Between 6-8 years later
- Be considered for partnership.
